EA Career Center Teacher inspiring

Aye Aye Ma, former student at the EA Career Center has been selected by University of Saint Francis as its Realizing the Dream recipient. Ms. Pamela Cobb, teacher at East Allen Career Center was named as the educator who was most influential in her decision to attend college.

Since 1989 Independent Colleges of Indiana has sponsored Realizing the Dream, a program funded by Lilly Endowment. The program is designed to recognize the achievements of first-generation college students. A first-generation college student is one whose parents did not have the opportunity to pursue and complete formal education beyond high school.

On February 25th there will be a banquet honoring the Realizing the Dream student recipients and influential teachers  and Ms. Cobb will be in attendance.

In addition to Aye Aye Ma’s gratitude, Ms. Cobb will receive a grant check for $1,000 to use at her discretion.

Ms. Cobb on behalf of the Board of School Trustees, Superintendent Hissong and the entire East Allen family we say congratulations and thank you for encouraging our students to reach higher in education!
