The Special Olympics State Cornhole Tournament was held on Sunday, October 2nd at Zionsville Middle School in Zionsville, IN. Over 350 athletes from all over the state competed. Of those, 11 representatives were from East Allen. Of those, 8 are still students in the district and the other 3 are graduates. Five of our team members placed and won medals in the Corn Hole Competition. Those athletes are:
- Dane Brockhouse - Bronze - New Haven High, 11th grade
- Chloe Martin – Bronze - Woodlan Elementary, 6th grade
- Xander Myers - Bronze - Woodlan High School, 12th grade
- Mitchell Schultz – Bronze - Woodlan High School - 9th grade
- Meghan Vice - Silver - New Haven Jr. High - 8th grade
Chriss Bickel Miller is the volunteer coach for East Allen County Schools. Her assistants are: Shana Bergman, a para at Woodlan and Anita Collins, a sub for the district.
