The Board of School Trustees recognized two outstanding bus drivers for going above and beyond the call of duty.
Lynne Eckert, bus #8 went above and beyond the call of duty recently. A parent sent in letter indicating on a Friday, Feb. 13th her son came home from upset because he forgot his Valentine’s Day gifts from class on the bus. He was worried he wasn’t going to get them back. The parent reached out to the school and spoke with a wonderful lady that reached out to the bus driver over the radio. The parent asked that the bus driver wait at the school and she would come pick up the package but remembered her car was in the shop. The parent again called the school, and they quickly got ahold of the bus driver and Ms. Eckert was so kind that she offered to deliver her son’s gifts on her way home. This parent wants to say thank you so much to Ms. Eckert for making her son’s weekend great!
On Thursday, January 29th, Jade Delagrange bus driver for bus 53 went above and beyond the call and deserves recognition for her exceptional work! She heroically saved her children from a life-threatening situation when a bad collision occurred directly in front of the bus, and she skillfully maneuvered to a safe stop while keeping students calm and safe. Upon assessing the situation, she promptly contacted emergency services and remained on the scene to ensure the well-being of all individuals involved. She showed compassion and care to the students on the bus and was very helpful to emergency personnel when they arrived.
Thank you ladies for all you do for EACS families!
