Meet Hayden Dambra the 2-time Perfect Game Bowler!
Hayden has loved to bowl ever since he was two, and he took it up competitively when he was three. Ever since learning what a perfect game was, he had always wanted to play it. When he plays in tournaments, he said he usually has a strike streak up until his sixth turn. Until October, in week two of Hayden’s first high school season, he scored his first perfect game.
While he hoped he would strike again sometime in his life, Hayden surprised himself, and his team, by playing another 300-point game, just two weeks later.
“It makes me feel very confident for the future and what else I can accomplish,” 14-year-old Hayden Dambra said. Hayden says getting one perfect game in a lifetime is rare and getting two is “super rare.” His dad, John, said the average bowling a 300 is about 1 in 10,000.
Hayden’s next goal is to get a sanctioned 800 series, meaning he would have to bowl three consecutive games with a total score of 800 or higher. His parents say that with how much Hayden loves to bowl, that goal could come sooner than he thinks.
Hayden leads his area’s high school bowlers this season with a 234 average.
Hayden is a Woodlan Jr. Sr. High student.
Congrats Hayden!!
