The 2025 Special Olympics Gold Medal winner – the one and only Lily Reynolds, student at Woodlan High School was recognized by the board of school trustees.
Lily recently participated in the Northeast Indiana Special Olympics Cornhole Sectionals, and the Indiana Special Olympics State Cornhole events and won gold in both events. There are 7+ teams from the Northeast Indiana region that participated in the events, and several more from the entire state that participated. During Sectionals, Lily’s team played the last game in the rain and persevered through to obtain the gold. In the State games, Lily scored all of the points on her team for the gold medal. Lily was very excited about winning and is proud of her accomplishments. She is also participating in the Special Olympics bowling team, which started their practices the same week of the Cornhole tournament.
