Dear East Allen County Schools Families,

We’ve had a great start to the school year because of each of you. As I am out in the buildings or at events, I see firsthand how fortunate we are to be surrounded with good people who truly want success for all our students and want to make East Allen County Schools the best possible place to educate our students. Thank you for everything you do to support our students and our schools!

Please note:

• Reminder as the weather starts to change, please have plans for delays and cancellations if the District needs to utilize these alternatives for student and staff safety.

• We continually update our East Allen County Schools’ website with meaningful information, pictures, and fog delays and closings. Please also like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter.

• As a parent/guardian, if you have a concern or question, please communicate with your child’s teacher first. If things are not resolved, please talk to the building administration (principal, assistant principal, or dean of students). If things are still not settled, please feel free to call or e-mail the assistant superintendents for elementary or secondary education. As always, I will be available for any concerns that may not be resolved along the way in this process. We are all here to support our students and families!

Good communication is crucial to the success of our students and our school system. We will continue to do our best to keep you informed. If you have questions or suggestions, I am always willing to listen.
