The Board of School Trustees and Superintendent Hissong recognized the Heritage FFA agricultural mechanics team and the Farm Agribusiness Management team.
On Monday, June 16,2025 both teams competed in the State career development activity held at Southmont High School in Crawfordsville, Indiana in conjunction with the Indiana FFA State Convention. During the competition the Agricultural Mechanics team completed tractor and sprayer electronics activities, welding activities, worked on small engines as well as taking a written exam. The team comprised of Oliver Riley, Brock Taylor, Wyatt Comment and Jesse Watson placed first in this State competition.
Also, the Farm and Agribusiness Management team completed a written general knowledge examination as well as test questions specifically for a balance sheet, cash flow statement, partial budget, income statement, and investing. The team comprised of Alden Bowers, Elizabeth Buuck, Mohammed Esarhaek and Julia Koroncevicius placed first at the state competition. They will compete at the National competition in conjunction with the National FFA Convention in the coming months.
