The Board of School Trustees recognized the 2025 District Art Contest Winners! Those winners are:
*The winner in the Kindergarten through 2nd grade Category is:
(Rabbit) So Hi Da Be is a 1st grader at Southwick Elementary School.
Daughter of Hi Sa Yar and Ha Bay Dar.
Her art teacher is Mrs. Allison Alliss. She has taught for 12 years – The last 4-1/2 years with EACS and all at SOEL.
*The winner in the 3rd through 6nd grade Category is:
(Woods Scene) Braelyn Finn is a 6th grader at Leo Elementary School.
Daughter of Kyle and Brenna Finn.
Her art teacher is Ms. Kristin Kramer. She has taught for 24 years – The last 16 years with EACS; She has taught at quite a few East Allen elementary schools. She currently splits her time between WOEL/LEEL.
The winner in the 7th through 9th grade Category is:
(Fruit Basket) Kaitlyn is a 9th grader at Woodlan Jr./Sr. High School.
Kaitlyn is the daughter of Angie and Bob Sterling
Art teacher Mr. Matt Stebing - He has taught for 21 years, all with EACS. For the first 11 years he taught art at the elementary level. The last 10 years has been the art teacher at WOHS.
The winner in the 10th through 12th grade Category is:
(Orange Bird) Zoe Leichty is a Junior at Leo High School.
Daughter of Ben and Ashlie Leichty.
Art teacher Mrs. Beverley Hinrichsen - She has taught art for 35 years – All with EACS. The last 30 years she has taught at the secondary level, the last 10 years at Leo Jr./Sr. High School.
