Lilly Scholarship Winners Recognized By Board

The Board of School Trustees  recognized the 2024 Lilly Endowment Scholarship Winners. The Lilly Endowment Inc. awards full-tuition scholarships to selected students from each county in Indiana.  There were five in Allen County and EACS had 2 winners! Each scholarship must be used to pursue a baccalaureate degree at any accredited public or private Indiana college or university. The Endowments hopes that this program will continue to encourage many of Indiana's most talented students to attend one of Indiana's fine higher education institutions and after graduation consider pursuing occupations in Indiana.”

 The students will also receive full tuition, required fees, and a $900 book stipend each year for four years.  Recipients may attend any public or private, Indiana four-year college or university.

 Those recognized were:

Madison Franklin, senior at Woodlan High School.  Madison will be attending the University of Saint Francis and studying Medical Imaging. She is ranked 19th in her graduating class of 117. Her GPA is 4.07.  She is involved in Extracurricular Activities; that being the Service Club, NHS, Soccer. She is employed as a CNA at Bethlehem Woods. She is a Certified Nursing Assistant and received her  certification through East Allen Career Center, she has received straight A’s all 4 years of high school and will receive a Technical Honors Diploma.

Ezra Yoquelet, senior at New Haven High School. Ezra has been a three-year varsity letter earner for Tennis and has served on student council for all his high school years. He is 11th in his class and has a 3.88 GPA. He has contagious school spirit and is always uplifting and encouraging to his peers. Ezra is leaning towards attending Butler University or Notre Dame studying to become a Physician’s Assistant.
