EACS recently received the United Way of Allen County Spirit of Collaboration Award! This is an award for the partnership United and EACS have built over the last 10 years.
Collaboration is what United Way is all about. Working with local organizations to make an impact for our community is an important part of the work United Way of Allen County does every day!
For the last 10 years United Way has partnered with East Allen County Schools and another school district (FWCS) to offer the Kindergarten Countdown program, impacting over 1,000 children in our community. This four-week summer program provides high-quality instruction and activities that build readiness skills in incoming kindergarten students.
East Allen County Schools is a Kindergarten Countdown partner and has served our students at New Haven Primary, Southwick Elementary and Heritage Elementary extremely well! It has proven to be a beneficial program for incoming kindergarteners.
