EACS Elementary Students Recognized for Winning Art Competition

FAME Elementary Students with School Board

The EACS Board of School Trustees recognized several elementary students for winning the FAME Festival Artwork competition. This year’s festival spotlight was East, Central and South Africa, culminating with the Celebration of Youth Concert on Sunday.

Our students really showed up big in the art portion of the festival.  Their artwork is currently being displayed at Mayor Tom Henry’s office until early May when he will host a reception in their honor. The student art winners are as follows:

 Southwick El.: Adianney Saldana – Kindergarten, Mayor’s Choice Winner, Janeva Henderson, 2nd grade, Teacher’s Choice Winner, ~ Principal Diamond Robinson

 Woodlan El.: Mason Moore (6th grade) Mayor’s Choice Winner, Griffin Johnson (4th grade) Teacher’s Choice Winner- ~ Principal Michael Chen
