Professional Development-Staff

EACS staff may use the following trainings for PGPs.

National Professional Development on Autism Spectrum Disorder
This website offers FREE 1-2 hour trainings on a wide variety of evidence based practices for students with autism. You can only receive PGPs for the videos, which are the BOLD, UNDERLINED, ASTERISKED items. You will need to create an account, which is free, with this website. When you take the training, you will need to select "Start Certificate Track", take the pre-assessment, complete the training, take the post-assessment. After you complete the training, you will receive a certificate which you can access under the "My Account" link, located in the top right corner when you log into the site. In order to get PGPs, you will need to either save and email or print and send this certificate to Lindsey Lortie at PHLC.

AAC Institute- Self Study Program

Do you work with students who are nonverbal or have very limited verbal output? Are you unsure where to start? These FREE trainings will earn you PGPs or ASHA CEUs, and give a great knowledge base for working with students who need alternative communication.
