Dear EACS Family,

Let’s start the New Year with a little holiday cheer!

As students come back from their winter break,

Remember your face covering for goodness sake.

Staff will have sanitizer to keep your hands clean,

It is our job together to keep COVID from being seen.

Please remember to socially distance with the right amount of space,

We want school to be your happy, healthy, and safe place.

Welcome back from winter break!  I hope everyone had a relaxing winter break filled with quality time with family and friends.  As we start the new year, it is a fresh start for all of us to put forth our personal best as we begin the second semester.

Our staff, including myself, look forward to supporting the success of each and every student.  You have my commitment of working with employees, families, students and community members to focus our efforts on providing the best educational opportunities possible for the children who attend our schools.  The education of EACS students is our highest priority and I thank you for entrusting your child’s education to us as we will work to ensure their success.

As we start January, there is the potential for hazardous weather conditions.  Please check our website, District Facebook page, District Twitter (EACStweets), or tune into television/radio to hear weather related school delays or cancellations.  As a reminder, EACS teachers are expected to post eLearning activities on the day of a closing by 9:00 a.m.  Students are expected to participate in eLearning on days when we cancel.  If you have questions regarding this, please contact your child’s teacher or school’s administration.

I am also including a few reminders regarding some upcoming dates.

  • Monday, January 18, 2021 – Martin Luther King Jr. Day – No Student Attendance
  • Tuesday, February 9, 2021 – District In-service Day – No Student Attendance – eLearning Day
  • Monday, February 15, 2021 – President’s Day – No Student Attendance

Again, welcome back to school for the second semester!  My wish for all of you is that 2021 is the best year ever!  As always, if you need anything, please feel free to contact our staff or me.

Dream It! Do It!
