Heritage Elementary Receives 'Buddy Bench' From AWS Foundation

Recently, the AWS Foundation donated a buddy bench to Heritage Elementary School as they celebrate its 10th Year Anniversary. Director of Facilities Recognized for Hard Work and Dedication

At the most recent board meeting, the board members and superintendent recognized Mr. Doug Roemer for his hard work and dedication! Over the summer, Mr. Roemer took on the major challenge of completing a large number of construction projects. He has worked for EACS for over 37 years, (hired back on April 28, 1980). NHHS Cheer Squad
New Haven High School Cheer Squad Honored by EACS Board

Technology Team
Board of School Trustees Recognize Technology Team

The EACS Board recently recognized the EACS Technology Department. The technology team shut down the entire network: phone systems, computer systems, copier systems, and district Internet for 9 days, from July 2 to the afternoon of July 10 while they moved from Park Hill over to New Haven Elementary.  Read more about Board of School Trustees Recognize Technology Team
Spirit of Woodlan Band
Spirit of Woodlan Band Recognized for Representing District Nationwide

Spirit of Woodlan and band director Robert Slattery worked extremely hard preparing for and marching in the Independence day Parade in Washington DC during the July 4th holiday. Each student paid almost $800 each to take this trip and The Boosters raised over 30,000 for new uniforms, so they could look their best while representing Indiana and their school.  Read more about Spirit of Woodlan Band Recognized for Representing District Nationwide

Meet East Allen County Schools New Principal of New Haven Intermediate School

“I am originally from western PA where my fondest memories revolve around becoming an Eagle Scout and playing Football. I initially attended Maine Maritime Academy and spent time in the Naval Reserve before arriving at Taylor University on a football scholarship to pursue a degree in education. The highlight of my Taylor experience was meeting my wife, Lori. After college I worked for the Fellowship of Christian and several different school corporations. In 2007 I arrived at Heritage High School where I taught Social Studies/PE and was Head Football Coach. In 2014 I became Administrative Assistant at Southwick Elementary and discovered a previously unknown passion for elementary education. “My name is Teresa Knoblauch, the new Assistant Superintendent of Elementary Education. I grew up in Woodburn and graduated from Woodlan High School. I have spent all of my professional career in East Allen County Schools, except my first year of teaching in North Carolina.
