Indiana Superintendent of Public Instruction Glenda Ritz announced the 2016-17 Family Friendly Schools Forty-four schools from across Indiana were selected based on their commitment to addressing the needs of Hoosier students while fostering the active involvement of families and the community in their school. During the weekend of Sept. 10 and 11, there was a very bad storm in Allen County. The storm caused flooding and minor damage in a few EACS buildings. Prince Chapman Academy recently hosted the annual Focus on Health program. All sixth grade students had the opportunity to visit booths staffed by area medical personnel. EACS Student and Alumni Torchbearers During Bicentennial Torch Relay

Indiana is celebrating our 200th birthday this year! Celebrating the Bicentennial included a Bicentennial Torch Relay through every county in the state. Jon Richards, student at Leo Jr. Sr. High was chosen as one of the torchbearers for Allen County. He was nominated over the summer, and several weeks later he received a letter from the governor's office informing him that he had been chosen as one of the torchbearers for Allen County.   Read more about EACS Student and Alumni Torchbearers During Bicentennial Torch Relay
