EACS Board of School Trustees Honor Breanna Doughman for Hard Work & Dedication

Recently, the EACS Board of School Trustees recognized Breanna Doughman for her hard work and dedication. Breanna is currently a junior at New Haven High School. She joined the cheerleading squad last school year as an honorary cheerleader but quickly became a hard working member of the squad! She may not do tumbles and tosses during practices or games but she stands proudly for her teams.   more

Leo Elementary Students Showcase Science Projects

Over 240 projects were on display at Leo Elementary School's third annual Science Fair. All students in grades 4 & 5 were invited to participate by conducting a science experiment.   more
East Allen University Students and Staff Take the Polar Plunge

Recently, East Allen University students and staff participated in the Polar Plunge event at Parkview Field to benefit the Indiana Special Olympics. Instead of dumping themselves in water, this year participants dove into piles of snow! At this event, EAU earned a trophy for the largest team (18 members), and raised over $1,500.00 to benefit the Indiana Special Olympics!  more
EACS Students Learn About Apprentice Programs

Approximately fifty-two East Allen County School students (representing all high schools) spent the day at the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) facility to learn more about the Construction Prep Academy & Training Center. Students, were taught in a hands-on environment by skilled journeyworkers. They were given a broad overview of the construction industry and exposed to several different trades.  more
Heritage High Students Named Scholastic Writing Gold Key Winners

Senior, Rachel Griebel was recently awarded a Gold Key and an Honorable Mention for poems she submitted to the Scholastic Writing Competition. Her collection of poems: “The Dancer”, “Besieged by You”, “Freedom of”, and “This Crowning Affliction” were written about someone who made a big impact on her life.   more
