Woodlan Jr/Sr High Staff Students & Community Members Help to Save Lives

Recently, Woodlan Jr. Sr. High School held a community blood drive. There were 59 blood donors that included students, faculty, and community members. The Red Cross collected 41 units of blood during the blood drive. Woodlan students, staff and community members helped save many lives by donating blood!  more

Woodlan Girls Basketball Players & Coaches Volunteer to Help the Disabled

On October 26th, the Woodlan girl’s basketball players and coaches volunteered their time to assist Ferraro Behavior Services, LLC during their annual Masquerade and dance event. Players and coaches were responsible for handing out programs, ushering clients and guests to their seats, encouraging clients and guests to participate in the dance between performances and cheering for performers.   more

New Haven Middle Staff Flip Burgers for Funds

New Haven Middle School staff members flipped burgers, handed out orders, and cleaned the lobby during McTeacher Night at the McDonald's located in New Haven. Over 40 familiesdined in and many more were served through the drive thru. McTeacher Night, an annual fundraiser for the school brought in over $325! This was all done in three hours.  more

New Haven High Students Represent EACS at Annual Healthy Cities Health Fair

Recently, Matthew 25 Health and Dental Clinic hosted the Annual Healthy Cities Health Fair. Four New Haven High School students were selected to attend the Health Fair on behalf of the district. Ms. Melissa Mace, NHHS Internship Coordinator, Gwen Tomkinson, ESL teacher, and Mimi Khine, ESL Translator also attended the fair with the students. The students attended the full day fair and stated it was “worthwhile”.  more

Woodlan Girls Varsity Volleyball Team Volunteer in the Community

On Wednesday, October 17th, the Woodlan Varsity Volleyball Team volunteered at the Woodburn Community Food Bank (after a long practice) to stock shelves. They also brought several donated food items and presented a check in the amount of $460 to also help the food bank.  more

Heritage High Students Named National Winners

Austin Franz and Grant Hood were named national winners of the production horticulture demonstration at the National Junior Horticultural Association Convention held in Wisconsin. The pair gave a demonstration on asexual propagation of plants.   more
