The students and staff participated in a great fundraiser for Breast Cancer Awareness during the month of October. Molly Snider, a senior, organized a fundraiser that kicked off the month with a ‘Pink Out’ night during a volleyball game. Shirts were sold to students and an auction was held at the game to raise additional funds. Breast Cancer AwarenessStaff members and students submitted recipes to develop a cookbook to sell to raise even more funds. And finally, proceeds from the Homecoming Powder Puff game were donated by the student council for the cause as well. Members from the Advanced Health class decorated the hallways and passed out wristbands to promote breast cancer awareness. On October 13, many students and staff
Breast Cancer Awarenessparticipated in the
Making Strides Against Breast Cancer
walk. Overall, Heritage raised $3,157.54 in donations to the American Cancer Society.
