Paul Harding Jr. High Students Give Back to Local Veteran’s
On Thursday, November 8th, Paul Harding Jr. High students (along with their Health teacher Mrs. Sorg), attended a field trip to the Shepherd’s House in Fort Wayne. The Shepherd’s House is a place where veterans who are suffering from substance abuse reside to receive individualized help. The students made Veteran's Day Cards for the veterans. The students who attended were selected based on an essay he or she wrote during Red Ribbon Week.
Shepherd's House is a 42-bed, long term, residential and transitional housing center for men. They house men with alcohol and chemical addictions. Although most of the clients are homeless veterans, they also accept men that have been recently released from prison or the court system. All of the men are 18 years or older and of different ethnic backgrounds.
Thanks for supporting our Veteran’s Paul Harding Jr. High students & staff!
